"Rooftops" Campaign is a Fanmade Single-Player Campaign for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare created with the game's mod tools. The Campaign brings four new levels with a brand new story, new characters and more while keeping the traditional Call of Duty 4 atmosphere but bringing a new innovative cinematic experience to the game. There are a lot of influences and inspirations from other games that played important role in many of the mod's implemented ideas. The story is completely new and unrelated to any Call of Duty plot. The mod has been created by SPi and has been under development since 2012. This mod is only available for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on PC. "Rooftops" Campaign was released in September 2016. Three tie-ins to "Rooftops" have been released since then, titled SPi's Nightmare, COD4: Special Ops Missions, and COD4: "The Deal". A sequel, titled COD4: "Rooftops 2: Red Alert" is estimated to be released in September, 2021.

PLOT:
A Day At the Office is the first level of COD4: "Rooftops" Campaign. This level serves as a short introduction to the ally characters and the main base of Task Force 99.
On October 13, 2011, Steve "SPi" Mallory arrives at the remote S.A.S. camp in Western Greece where Task Force 99 is staged. After briefly testing a new modified M9 Beretta pistol, Lewis "Loz" Adams informs the team about a message they received from Paul Emery, a C.I.A. operative who has been operating undercover in the nearby Sicily and reports suspicious Russian activity in the area. He seemed to be in trouble and calls on the team for help. Task Force 99 heads into their Chinook Helicopter and set course for Sicily to find and help Paul.
