Cypriots participate in the Blessing of the Waters to celebrate Epiphany Day

Every year to celebrate the day of Epiphany, Cypriots race to retrieve a cross tossed into the sea by a Greek Orthodox priest. It’s part of the Blessing of the Waters tradition to celebrate a key date in the Greek Orthodox faith.
