This song is more than a story about a young man who wants his first love back but then moves on because he has to. This story is about how we should live our lives in general: Let the winds of life pick you up and carry you on. Look for sunny times. Learn to smile again. What’s the alternative? Rue and death? Not me. The moon rises. So will I.

Her name was Janice. She was an incredibly special girl. She came into my life from out of nowhere, seemingly, and disappeared almost as fast. But she opened my heart up and crawled inside for those brief months together. No one had ever been able to do that before. I will always remember her. She was a love Viking, and she literally sailed right into my heart when I was just a kid.
