Jeff Wohlrabe's Fatal Crash @ Wisconsin International Raceway 2017

Jeff Wohlrabe, a veteran figure eight racer from Appleton, Wisconsin, died in an accident just before 20h00 o'clock on Friday night, 08 September 2017 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.
A regular at the raceway and the 2008 Fox River Racing Club Figure Eight track champion, Jeff Wohlrabe, 43, was killed when his car collided with another driver's during a 25-lap figure eight race which was a part of the Fox River Racing Club's "Eve of Destruction", the annual event held at the track, drawing more than 10,000 spectators to the raceway. The final night of the racing season included figure eight events, where drivers cross paths at high speeds, novelty races, a demolition derby and other activities.
A medical helicopter came in to airlift Jeff Wohlrabe to a local hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead from the injuries he suffered in the crash.
