KMT Presidential Candidate Hou Promises Military Pay Rises

Facing a growing military threat from China, Hou Yu-ih, the presidential candidate for Taiwan's opposition Kuomintang (KMT), has promised to spend over US$300 million raising soldiers' salaries and drafting a comprehensive national security strategy within his first 10 months in office.
