Kenny Olsson's Fatal Crash @ Norrköping Motorstadion 2007

On Saturday, 07 June 2007 the speedway track at the Norrköpping circuit played host to a match between Vargarna and Valsarna, valid for the Second Division of the Swedish Speedway Championship. During heat number eight, Swedish rider Kenny Olsson crashed violently against a fence and was knocked unconcious immediately, slipping into a coma. At 15h38 of the following day the artificial respirators that kept Olsson alive were turned off, and he died moments later.

Kenny Olsson was reported to be the 14th Swedish rider in history to die in speedway racing, since Harry Andersson who lost his life in 1949 at Folkare Motorstadion in Avesta, Sweden.
