Japanese schools forced to close over aging population

The Ashigakubo primary school near Tokyo is closed and empty. Like many schools in Japan, it shut down due to an aging population, with over 8,580 public schools closing in the last 20 years. Some have been demolished, but others found new purposes, such as becoming an aquarium caring for turtles or transforming into a vinyl record shop.
