  • 7 bulan yang lalu
The song "Musisi" is taken from the album God Bless Anthology 50th Years Anniversary (2023).

The original version of the song "Musisi," composed by Donny Fattah, is featured in the 1980 album "Cermin." "Cermin" is wrapped in a complex rock formula but structured with a focus on fine aesthetics and dynamic textures throughout its songs.

It was recorded and re-released in the album titled "Cermin 7" in 2016. In the "Musisi" version of the Anthology 50th Years Anniversary album, it is presented with an orchestral arrangement, enriched by the magical touch of Tohpati as the producer and composer. As a result, it becomes grander and more elegant.

Tohpati Ario Hutomo, a guitarist, not only worked on "Musisi" but also wrote the scoring played by the Czech Symphony Orchestra for the entire Anthology 50th Years Anniversary. Yes, he wanted to offer something different, considering that what he was working on is an album to celebrate God Bless's golden age.

As for the making of the music video for "Musisi," God Bless received full support from the Republic of Indonesia's government through Hilmar Farid, the Director-General of Culture. The production activities were executed by the Public Service Agency for Museums and Cultural Heritage under the direction of Ahmad Mahendra, with various locations in Bali.

The music video for "Musisi" was directed by Bali-born filmmaker Erick Est, who enlisted Ezekiel Rangga (Tanah Air Project) as the technical director to oversee all production needs.

With an elegant and grand rock vibe, the music video also involved many young artists from the orchestra team of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, along with at least 230 production workers, 55 culinary small and medium-sized enterprise (UMKM) workers, and 77 rental and accommodation workers.
