Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 102 (Arabic Recitation): “ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتۡلُواْ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلۡكِ سُلَيۡمَٰنَۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيۡمَٰنُ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ ٱلسِّحۡرَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَى ٱلۡمَلَكَيۡنِ بِبَابِلَ هَٰرُوتَ وَمَٰرُوتَۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنۡ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَآ إِنَّمَا نَحۡنُ فِتۡنَةٞ فَلَا تَكۡفُرۡۖ ”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 102 (English Translation): “ And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Hārūt and Mārūt. But they [i.e., the two angels] do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." ”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 102 (Urdu Translation): “ اور اس چیز کے پیچھے لگ گئے جسے شیاطین (حضرت) سلیمان کی حکومت میں پڑھتے تھے۔ سلیمان نے تو کفر نہ کیا تھا، بلکہ یہ کفر شیطانوں کا تھا، وه لوگوں کو جادو سکھایا کرتے تھے ، اور بابل میں ہاروت ماروت دو فرشتوں پرجو اتارا گیا تھا، وه دونوں بھی کسی شخص کو اس وقت تک نہیں سکھاتے تھے جب تک یہ نہ کہہ دیں کہ ہم تو ایک آزمائش ہیں تو کفر نہ کر، ”
The English translation by Saheeh International and the Urdu translation by Maulana Mohammad Junagarhi, both published by the renowned King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (KFGQPC). Surah Al-Baqarah is the second chapter of the Quran.
