New Zealand’s largest ever coronial inquest is underway in Christchurch looking at the emergency response to the deadly terrorist attacks at two mosques in 2019. 51 people were killed by an Australian gunman who is sentenced to life without parole. The inquest will look at what lessons can be learned and if any of the deaths could have been avoided.
