Popular musician dies in collision following gig in Kildare

Tributes have been paid to a popular musician who was killed while travelling from a concert in Co Kildare. Christopher Bradley, from Desertmartin, was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision with a tractor at around 2am on the M1 northbound between Junctions 12 and 14 at Mooremont.Two other men, in their 20s and 60s, who were travelling in the same vehicle, were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening. Mr Bradley, who was in his 30s, was a drummer for Irish country music star Declan Nerney.It is understood he was returning from a dance in the Toughers venue outside Naas with his bandmates when the tragic crash happened. Country music stars have tonight paid tribute following the dad-of-two's tragic death.County Tyrone singer Barry Kirwan took to Facebook to express his condolences.
