Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) has no idea her mum Jean Slater (Gillian Taylforth) fears her cancer has returned. The Slater matriarch had been growing close to Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) in her daughter’s absence but issued an ultimatum when she discovered the EastEnders club owner had lied about trying to help keep Stacey out of prison.
