Suspected Russian Spy Cell Exposed in UK, Fake IDs Exposed

Five people are to be charged in the UK with conspiracy to conduct espionage for Russia. They are accused of conspiring to gather information useful to an enemy between August 2020 and February 2023. The defendants allegedly worked in an operational spy cell for the Russian security services, conducting surveillance on targets in the UK and Europe and collecting and passing intelligence to Russia. Fake IDs were found during property searches, and one defendant is accused of making forgeries. The group allegedly organized surveillance in Montenegro using fake journalist IDs.
