The Ashanti culture has many symbols which many people still pay attention to. One way they integrate these symbols is to carve stamps and use those to print the symbols on fabrics. We visited a Adinkra workshop in Ntonso which is not too far from Kumasi.

There we learned about how they win the ink from the bark of the Kuntunki Tree, carve stamps and see them do the actual stamping. This was such a nice additional to our visit to the Kente Workshop in Bonwire:
