Saint Just - album La casa del lago 1974

"La casa del lago" was the last chapter of Saint Just's experience.The group was reduced to a duo (Robert Fix left to become one of the greatest Italian session men), and the group in turn made use of other studio collaborators. The album was recorded in a stately home at Lago di Bracciano (Rome) rented for the occasion by EMI Music Italy. The album is structurally different from "Saint Just", the sound is more direct and mixes the love for West Coast sounds with a certain prog taste, with folk, with symphonic influences and chamber music, with Mediterranean floklore, with Jenny's voice as usual sounding like and additional instrument. After the album's release Saint Just broke up, Jenny Sorrenti became a soloist, revisiting the rock folk panorama of the various Mediterranean areas and rediscovering and revisiting the medieval sounds.
