Putin offers free grain to Africa following Ukraine deal exit

Russian President Vladimir Putin pledges to provide free grain to six impoverished African countries during a summit with leaders from the continent. This comes shortly after Russia's withdrawal from a grain export deal with Ukraine, which had previously allowed Ukrainian grain to be transported through the Black Sea to global markets, including Africa. The move has added to the strain on food prices in the region.
