Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 49 (Arabic Recitation): " وَإِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ "
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 49 (English Translation): " And [recall] when We saved you [i.e., your forefathers] from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord. "
Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 49 (Urdu Translation): " اور جب ہم نے تمہیں فرعونیوں سے نجات دی جو تمہیں بدترین عذاب دیتے تھے جو تمہارے لڑکوں کو مار ڈالتے تھے اور تمہاری لڑکیوں کو چھوڑ دیتے تھے، اس نجات دینے میں تمہارے رب کی بڑی مہربانی تھی۔ "
The English translation by Saheeh International and the Urdu translation by Maulana Mohammad Junagarhi, both published by the renowned King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (KFGQPC).
