The speed limit on hundreds of roads is set to be reduced after a series of fatal collisions and serious accidents. The council unveiled the plans to reduce the speed limit from 40 to 30 miles per hour on certain roads following calls for urgent action.
West Midlands Police have said that they have charged a third man with attempted murder after a shooting in Alum Rock on June 27. Awais Ahmed has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
