This eerie video looks like a scene straight out of a dystopian movie.
It features Candice Hart's distressing first encounter with the densely-polluted air of New York, stemming from the recent Canadian wildfire.
It goes without saying that the unfortunate experience leaves Candice in a pretty uncomfortable state.
"So, I stepped out into the hazy, smokey air for the first time since becoming aware of the dangerous conditions," the filmer commented. "Not being prepared or informed, I foolishly tried to cover my nose and mouth to ease the discomfort."
She shared that she was instantly hit with a tightness in her chest and had difficulty breathing. On top of that, she felt irritation in her eyes due to the smoke.
"It reeked of smoldering, burning wood, and I could smell it seeping through our windows and doors," the filmer added.
