Paraglider injures tourist at Brazilian beach in dramatic crash landing

This is the shocking moment a paraglider crashed into a tourist and broke her collarbone on a beach in Brazil.The unidentified pilot reportedly lost control of his aircraft and went beyond the allowed landing area where a couple was walking on Sao Conrado beach in Rio de Janeiro on May 7.While he missed the husband by an inch, the wife, identified as Aliny Nazar, 44, was knocked over and sustained a head wound and broken bone.Footage shows the green paraglider slowly drifting down before the pilot slammed into Aliny, who fell over from the impact.She told local media: ‘My biggest concern is that if it was a child or an elderly person they would not have survived.'Aliny's husband was seen motioning to help her stand up, but the wife was found to have sustained injuries and rushed to the hospital.At the Copa D'Or Hospital, she underwent surgery to fix her collarbone to her right shoulder. She also had a large head wound which had to be closed with ten stitches.It was unknown whether the paraglider was hurt, but Aliny added the person drifted far away from the allowed landing spot.She said: ‘There was no safety protocol in place.'Aliny is still recovering from her injuries. No other tourists were reported hurt by the incident.
