The Ebbw Vale Cableway could be closed down in the near future as it is seen as a ‘less painful loss’ than other front line services with cost cutting measures ongoing. The closure would mean around a 41 thousand pound savings of a hopeful 6.6 million pound cost cutting across the council budget.

The met office has issued yellow weather wind warnings across much of Wales this week. Gusts of up to 60 miles an hour could hit coastal areas with much 50 miles per hour winds across more inland areas. There could be short term power losses around some parts of the country.

Wrexham AFC owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been awarded the freedom of the city after their side beat promotion rivals Notts county 3-2 in one of the biggest non-league football matches in history. The dragons veteran goalkeeper Ben Foster saved a last minute penalty to give his side the win.
