Miracle Story for $1

A true story that took place in America in the middle of the last century
A poor family consisting of a mother and father, and a young boy and girl. Suddenly, the boy became seriously ill, and after laboratory tests and medical tests, it was found that he was suffering from a tumor in his head.
The father spoke to the attending physician, then returned home to tell the boy's mother that her son was in a critical condition, and an expensive surgery must be performed...and that the little boy would not survive without a "miracle"!
Meanwhile, the little girl was overhearing her parents' conversation, so she hurried to her room, opened her money box to find one dollar in it, so she took the dollar and went to the nearest pharmacy, and stood waiting for the pharmacist to finish talking to a man, and when the conversation was long between them, the child put the dollar on the table angrily. And she said to the pharmacist: Give me a miracle!
The pharmacist said to her: Don't you see that I am busy talking to my brother whom I haven't seen for years! Then he added: Who told you that I sell miracles?!
Then the pharmacist's brother said to her with interest: Tell me about the miracle you want!
She innocently said to him: I do not know, my father told my mother that my brother needs a miracle so that he does not die! Is this dollar enough?!
He said to her with a smile in a warm voice: One dollar is exactly the price of a miracle! But I have to see your brother first!
This man was Carlton Armstrong, the famous American neurosurgeon, so he went with the girl to her home, met her parents, and reviewed the laboratory tests and analyzes.
Then he said to them: I will operate on him in my private hospital and at my expense
Indeed, the doctor performed a successful operation on the boy and did not charge more than the dollar that the girl gave him! Then he hung the dollar in a frame on one of the walls of his clinic and wrote under it:
This dollar is the price of a miracle!
* The lesson is that feeling for others and helping them is what distinguishes us as human beings, and that God may prepare for us relief from where we do not count *
