I wrote this song after a night out with a great little gal from Durham that I met on Match.com. It was our third date and we went dancing this time. We had lots of fun and then I drove all the way back to Oxford in the rain, falling asleep at the wheel just as I got to my driveway in the hills of northern Granville County. I went into the ditch at my own home. I somehow got out of that situation and made it to the crib. Whew.
I woke up the next morning and wrote this song, glad to be alive. Couldn't wait for her to hear it...
I never heard from her again.
