Finally, Suzuki Motor Corporation’s subsidiary in India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has announced the global launch of the all-new Jimny 5-Door at the Auto Expo 2023.

The fourth generation of the Suzuki Jimny was originally introduced in 2018 and is expected to receive a facelift this year alongside the addition of the 5-Door body style variant.

Under the hood of the Indian-spec model lies a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter petrol engine producing 103 hp (77 kW) and 134 Nm (99 pounds-Foot) of torque.

Maruti Suzuki didn’t announce pricing for the stretched model which is expected to cost more than the regular Jimny.

Production of the model has already started at the Gurugram plant, with sales in India scheduled to start in May 2023.

The Jimny 5-Door is scheduled to be exported to markets including Africa and Latin America.
