Birmingham headlines 7 December: 12-year-old boy dies after e-scooter collision in Bordesley Green

A twelve year old boy have passed away after an e-scooter collision in Bordesley Green. The school boy collided with a bus just before 8am on Tuesday. He was sadly confirmed dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics. The police have urged witnesses to get in touch.

A second teenager has been arrested in connection to the murder of Mohammed Istakhar, the taxi driver who was stabbed to death in Solihull last week. The 19 year old suspect was arrested after a public appeal for help was issued. Luca De-Fazio, aged 18, was also arrested in connection.

A new ITVX series will tell the life story of actress Noele Gordon who played the role of motel owner Meg Mortimer in the long-running Birmingham-based soap opera Crossroads. The new series will star multi-award winning Helena Bonham Carter as the actress.
