Zero by Russ Davies, Performed by Inge Beckmann, from Writer Producer Simon Allen's The Watch

The haunting Zero was written by composer Russ Davies for the climax of Episode Four of Writer Producer Simon Allen's The Watch.

Russ Davies' music was so important to the tone and ambition of the show that Simon Allen often designed entire episodes around it, not least Episode Three where our heroes go undercover as punk band 'The What?' and perform 'Gold' at an audition to inflitrate The Musician's Guild, Episode Seven in which Wendell Pierce's DEATH performs his stadium anthem 'Last Breath' (see vimeo.com/529702687) and the ending of Episode Four where this track 'Zero' plays a key part.

Simon Allen also designed the heavy meta climax of the series around Russ Davies' 'Goodboy's Anthem (The Watch Theme Tune) with Vimes, Cheery, Angua and Carrot reforming their punk band to play a desperate, last stand concert in which a live version of the show's title track saves the world from a lonely, vengeful dragon.

'Zero' is performed by Inge Beckmann who also appears in Episode Four as a Torch Singer in The Mended Drum (pictured).
