Storm Causes Severe Flooding in West Virginia

Parts of West Virginia were underwater on August 15, after a storm caused severe flooding in the state, damaging buildings and infrastructure. The flooding prompted Gov. Jim Justice (R) to declare a state of emergency in two counties. Local news reported that more than 100 homes had been damaged. The National Weather Service is predicting ‘unsettled weather’ in the state for the rest of the week.
