VOGR Rebukes Cult Pastors Admitting Mistakes

Recently, several ministers and evangelists in William Branham's "Message" cult of personality have been made aware that a large number of William Branham's claims have been proven to be fiction. Through the work of this website and several others, a substantial amount of evidence has been made public proving not only that William Branham's claims were false, but also that many of those false claims were for the sole purpose of self-promotion instead of his pointing others to Christ.

As a result, a growing number of ministers in Branham's "Message" sect are now admitting that William Branham made false claims and a large number of them are severing ties with Voice of God Recordings — leading to decreased revenue through their now missing donations. Today, Voice of God Recordings issued a statement rebuking ministers who now admit Branham's false claims.

Interestingly, the article is addressed to "Dear Written Word". Voice of God Recordings has been pushing the notion that William Branham's voice — "every word that the 'prophet' spoke" — Is "Thus Saith The Lord", or "The Spoken Word". The cult is now using the term "Written Word" as a replacement for what other Christians call the Bible; the cult followers themselves are now the "Written Word" as part of William Branham's Manifest Sons of God Doctrine.

One point worth mentioning from the article is the misguided usage of the phrase "Thus Saith the Lord". In VOGR's rebuke of cult ministers, there is an accusation that these ministers pointing out Branham's false claims are claiming "Thus Saith the Lord". To our knowledge, not a single minister, whether still a leader in Branham's cult of personality or escaped from the cult, have claimed that God spoke through them for their admission of Branham's false claims. Instead, these cult leaders and former cult leaders simply say that they have reviewed the evidence, that the evidence was undeniable, and that William Branham did, in fact, make false claims.

The most disturbing part of the article, as former members have pointed out, is that Voice of God Recordings is now fully open in their belief that William Branham, was in fact, God. According to the article, William Branham was "Deity veiled in human flesh".
