Marion Brown - album Afternoon of a Georgia faun 1970

  • 2 anni fa
Marion Brown's "Afternoon for a Georgia faun" was released on the ECM label. Along with "Geechee recollections" and "Sweer Earth flying", it was one of Brown's albums dedicated to the US state of Georgia. Percussive evocation of pastoral Georgia in the title-track, great sense of serenity, with flutes, reeds, voices and piano, without any idea of soloing. The second track is more traditional in one way, though still quite unusual for the time.
