ABF update - Sadly, a long-running tradition of Thursday evening of fun, food, displays, guest performers and local student entertainment at Kentville's Memorial Park during ABF is now cancelled because of ABF cutbacks to Kentville ? And so, (ever since 2017 ), there's just an empty Park on Wednesday and on Thursday at Memorial Park in Kentville ?

Some very sad and shocking news . Have we seen the last Queen ever ? ABF 2023 may signal the End of an Era ? ABF Officials have been claiming concerns over the diversity and inclusion issue along with a desire to modernize the historic ABF Queen Annapolisa and Princess competition. Apparently they must have held a think tank last Winter and made an adjustment ? They have decided to end the Valleys most popular, glamorous and anticipated event following an 87 year run ?
- Her royal Heiness Queen Annapolisa and the 7 to 10 Valley Princesses each proudly representing their home town and each accompanied by child attendants from the community, along with a glamorous Wolfville Coronation and Crowning ceremony held and televised yearly from Acadia University, and the many Community Princess Teas that ae held each year, as well as the award winning 7 to 10 Princess float entrants in Kentville's Grand Street Parade, and the many other Royal Party visitations, functions and appearances that occur all week long,, etc. etc. will no longer be a part of the Apple Blossom Festival ? ABF Officials led by their President Logan Morse along with a representative from the town of Kentville Lindsey Young, appear to have taken concerns of the LGBTQ community and others into account and have decided to terminate the popular Queen Annapolisa Pageant/competition explaining that the decision was made to improve, modernize and evolve the historic 87 year old beauty and leadership competition ?
