Earlier yesterday too, demonstrations were held in some areas of the city against the controversial statement of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled from BJP Naveen Kumar Jindal.

कोलकाता से सटे हावड़ा के पंचला बाजार में शनिवार भी प्रदर्शनकारियों और पुलिसकर्मियों के बीच झड़प हुई. ताजा तस्वीरों में दिख रहा है कि, बाजार में मौजूद कुछ लोग पुलिस पर पत्थर से हमला कर रहे हैं. स्थिति को काबू में करने के लिए पुलिस ने आंसू गैंस के गोले भी दागे. इससे पहले कल भी शहर के कुछ इलाकों में बीजेपी की निलंबित नेता नुपुर शर्मा और बीजेपी से निष्कासित नवीन कुमार जिंदल के विवादित बयान के विरोध में प्रदर्शन हुए थे.
