Fuel Prices In Metros: Modi Govt Cuts Taxes, Know Petrol, Diesel Price In Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata

On May 22, fuel prices witnessed a significant reduction, bringing in much relief for people. This came a day after the Union government cut the excise duty on diesel and petrol. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a cut of Rs 8 per litre of petrol and Rs 6 per litre on diesel. In Mumbai, petrol was being sold at Rs 120.51 per litre, while diesel was sold at Rs 104.77. On May 22, the price of petrol fell to Rs111.35 per litre in Mumbai, while diesel will now cost Rs 97.28 per litre, reported NDTV. In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 96.72 a litre against Rs 105.41 a litre while diesel will cost Rs 89.62 a litre as opposed to Rs 96.67 a litre, reported NDTV.
