Greenpeace UK has confronted a 183-metre-long oil tanker carrying a 42,000-tonne shipment of Russian fuel oil [1] to the Port of Immingham in Lincolnshire, demanding that the vessel turn around and the shipment be returned to Russia.
The Seavictory left the Russian port of Tuapse on March 8th carrying 42,000 tonnes of fuel oil. Greenpeace is a calling on the UK government to ban the import of Russian fossil fuels and end the UK’s dependence on fossil fuels altogether by ramping up renewables and reducing energy waste
