The Model Code of Conduct, the Indian Penal Code, seems like politicians do not care about any codes now. The Model Code of Conduct states that any person shall, during the course of the election process, promote feelings of enmity or hatred between different classes of citizens of India by way of religion, race, caste, community or language shall be guilty of a cognizable offense.
