Watch: Congress' show of strength at Mekedatu padyatra

On Sunday, the Congress in Karnataka initiated its 10-day long march from Mekedatu to Bengaluru demanding the implementation of the Mekedatu project across the Cauvery river.
Led by Congress party’s state president D K Shivakumar and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, the padayatra with the theme 'Namma Neeru Namma Hakku' (Our water, Our right) began at the Sangama, the confluence of Cauvery and Arkavathi rivers in Kanakapura in Ramanagara district of Karnataka.
