How to get in debug in sonic the hedgehog 2?

Enter the code 19 65 9 17, and you'll hear a ring sound effect! Press Start and the A button into the controller if you see Sonic and Tails (Miles), Pressing the A and Start button will take you to the Level Select Screen. Finally, enter 01 09 09 02 01 01 02 04, and press A and Start! Enjoy the Debug Mode as much as you like! I did this on my Wii and the Sega Genesis like I was a preteen playing this game!
