'Luck was definitely not on this surfer's side as he went full send with his backward sandboarding idea.
Footage filmed by Krishna Ghimire shows one of his friends sliding down a sand dune backward, botching the landing, and doing a back roll in the dirt.
"Watch this epic sandboarding fail from Australia," the filmer said. "After performing a straight slide a couple of times, my best mate got bored and wanted to do something different.
"Having successfully practiced backward sliding a few times on a small sand mountain, he decided to go for the big one and gave us something to laugh for life."
