The leader of Kent County Council has thrown his support behind the campaign to save Maidstone's High Speed links to London.

Companies bidding for the South Eastern rail franchise may cut the service between Maidstone West and St Pancras International under proposed plans.

The leader of Kent County Council Paul Carter said these plans were completely unacceptable, marking cross-party support for this campaign.
