Unlit streetlamps double Kent motorway crashes

Car crashes on Kent's motorways have almost doubled in the last decade because highways chiefs are turning the streetlights off.
Research shows that casualties on fast-moving roads with unused lighting, including the M2, have jumped by 88 per cent since 2010.
Highways England insist the roads are safe though and say they turn off lights to be more eco-friendly.
