Will never commit sin of providing loan waivers for political gains: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the launch of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur expressed his disbelief in loan waivers. “For us also loan waivers would have been easy and convenient, we also could have distributed 'rewri' for political and election benefits, but we can't commit such a crime. Loan waiver benefits only a select few”, said PM Modi. Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, small and marginal farmers are entitled to get Rs 6000 annually from the Government.
