Vintage bikes rally in Bangalore

International Jawa Day is celebrated every second July Sunday in the world. Bike lovers come together in Indian cities to display their prized Jawa motorcycles. In 2017, the Bangalore Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle Club attempted a world record for the largest gathering of out-of-production bikes at one venue. The Jawa motorcycles were built in Mysore from 1961 to 1996. The Ideal Jawa factory shut down in 2005. The 250cc two-stroke Jawa was followed by the popular shorter-stroke Yezdi Roadking 250cc bike. The Jawa brand may be relaunched in India by the Mahindra Group.
