Sukanya Kulkarni- Theatre Female (Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards 2017)

Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards 2017 -Sukanya made her debut on stage in the play Gauri Jhali Durga even while taking Bharat Natyam lessons from her Guru Sucheta Bhide-Chapekar. Then came Jhulwa, a play directed by Waman Kendre. Her play Kusum Manohar Lele also created history. She became a household name with TV serials like Kashmakash, Shanti, Mahanagar, and films such as Ishwar, Eka Peksha Ek . Sukanya won the Filmfare award for her role in Warsa Laxmicha. She re-entered theatre through the play Family drama and her role of Sumati Karmarkar won her the audience’s acclaim.
