This was a number that I was part of for one of my high school's spring musicals, this one being Chicago: The Musical!
A woman named Kitty finds her lover Harry making love to another woman, and in a fit of rage she grabs her pistol and ends Harry's life. Meanwhile, Roxie Hart is about to go to court against the State of Illinois. She is very nervous at first, but her lawyer Billy Flynn tells Roxie to just imagine the entire thing as nothing more than a circus act.
