Seaweed is cultivated in the brackish water of Latonro village in Indonesia; it's been the community's main source of income for 15 years. But residents say that over the past 6 years, the number of annual harvests has decreased with increased rainfall. Excessive rain causes the water's salinity to decrease, which inhibits the community's ability to grow and harvest seaweed.
