Bridges Washed Away In Flood Fury As Parts Of Madhya Pradesh Reel Under Intense Rains

Around six brides on River Sindh and Seep have collapsed in the severe floods that have battered the state of Madhya Pradesh. An eight-year-old dam constructed on River Seep has also been swept away in floodwaters, reported The Times Of India. Severe damage has been caused to the bridges and roads in Gwalior & Chambal regions, reported The Times Of India. A large chunk of AB Road near Shivpuri has also caved in. Of the bridges that collapsed, four were built in the last 12 years and a fifth (in Sheopur) was constructed around eight years ago, reported The Times Of India. More Than 70 Teams Of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) & State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Indian Air Force & Indian Army Helicopters Are Carrying Out Rescue Operations For The Past Few Days, reported Hindustan Times. Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives & Rs 50,000 would be given to the injured.
