Filipinos Helping Filipinos (Giving with One Guadalupe Community Pantry) - John Smulo
  • 3 years ago
So today, Grace and I will go grocery shopping to help out a community pantry run by One Guadalupe and experience Bayanihan in the Philippines.

And since I have no idea what most Filipinos like to get at the grocery stores, Grace will be helping me out today.

If you haven't heard yet, Filipinos have initiated community pantries where anyone can share anything to those who may need it by leaving it at a specified location.

And as a foreigner living in the Philippines, I want to be able to help Filipinos and be a part of their Bayanihan spirit.

The community pantry maginhawa Michael started practices Filipino tradition in times of difficulties and disaster response.

One Guadalupe, the organization that started these community pantries, manages five (5) other community pantries in all of Guadalupe.

Let's experience real Filipino culture by helping out Filipinos who are in need!

We heal as one...

Anyway, if you want to reach out to One Guadalupe and see how you can help, check out their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/One-Guadalup....

Stay tuned and mark your calendars on Wednesday as we interview Michael about his vision with One Guadalupe.

Thank you for taking the time to listen, and as always, take care!
