Cabinet expansion: Will Maharashtra strongman Narayan Rane land a berth?

Rajya Sabha member and former Maharashtra chief minister Narayan Rane, who formally joined the BJP in 2019, is being pegged for a place in the Union Cabinet. While Rane has held multiple portfolios in the Maharashtra government in the past, he never made it to the Union Cabinet. He was seen arriving at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on Wednesday ahead of the Cabinet reshuffle slated to take place at 6 pm.
