Parents look forward to Deepika Kumari making country proud in Tokyo Olympics

27-year-old Indian star archer from Ranchi, Deepika Kumari regained the number one position in global rankings following her hattrick of gold medals at the World Cup Stage 3 in Paris on Sunday. Deepika was born and raised in Ranchi. Her father is an Auto rickshaw driver and mother is assistant nursing staff.
"Now, we have two players in the family. They feel more confident while playing together. They will definitely win a medal in Tokyo Olympics. Coaches and Arjun Munda helped her from the beginning to become a better player," said Deepika's mother Geeta Devi.Her father said, “We're very happy. Her next goal is Olympics. We hope that she along with her husband (Atanu Das) will bring a gold medal.”
