Mené 7-6(6), 6-2 par Stefanos Tsitsipas, le Serbe s’est révolté pour finalement s’imposer 6-7(6), 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 après 4h12 de match et soulever son 19e titre du Grand Chelem. Son coach Marian Vajda a de grandes ambitions : "Bien sûr, l'objectif c'est de gagner les Jeux Olympiques et le Grand Chelem. Ce serait le meilleur qui pourrait arriver cette année..."
