Evan Fournier Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Bulls

Evan Fournier was interviewed after the Celtics were blown out by the Chicago Bulls. On finding a solution and building chemistry on the fly, Fournier said it wasn’t that simple. “There’s no secret ingredient… we have to compete hard, we have to play smart, and we have to do our jobs; that’s it… tonight we just didn’t execute our best offense well enough… you saw us running around a lot, chasing guys off the three-point line.” On Vucevic’s triple-double and impact on the win, Fournier said “Well Vooch is a great player and that’s why he’s so dangerous because he can do everything… the thing that was hard for us tonight is that they have two big guys, you know, Theis is a big guy, too… they did a great job.” Fournier insisted the defensive struggles weren’t “always about miscommunication… sometimes it’s about, you know, they have two bigs so they can just pass over the top… it was maybe, lack of execution moreso than just miscommunication.” On how he’s feeling following his Pfizer shot, Fournier said “I’m doing okay, thank you. The Pfizer shot did help a little. I’m hoping that the second shot will help me even more… every day’s a challenge but I’m ready to take it on.”
On the failed comeback by Boston, he admitted “It’s a game of runs… we had the shots to re-comeback, and we just did not make the shots… teams are good, guys are good; two, three plays in a row can be nine points… you can go 10-0 real quick.”
